It's been a year of changes for Earthenring.eu and Warcraft. We've had some prominent members of both this site and ER leave, and we've had some new people arrive.

We've had a year of Wrath of the Lich King, with many things changing in how we play the game.. from raiding right through to rolling a level 1. Eyes are now focusing on the next expansion, Cataclysm, that has a tentative 2010 release date and bring yet more changes to the game we know and love.

I would like to thank everyone on this site and Earthen Ring for the past year of roleplay and community, and wish you all the best in the coming year.

Happy New Year See you in 2010.

Well, it's that time of year again. And if you weren't stressed enough rushing around making all those last minute purchases and fixes for the holiday season - there was a small matter of a patch released not too long ago to keep all us Warcraft addicts busy.

Whether you observe this holiday or not, may the spirit of the season lift your hearts and give you all that bit of happiness you all deserve in your lives. Even if it's watching a poor shopping centre Santa getting punched in the nuts by an irate 2 year old.

Yes, I sniggered. And made sure my 2 year old was bound and gagged appropriately.

As most of you are probably aware, there is an alarmingly high amount of spam posts in the Guest Pass forum that I'm having to remove several times a day.

I'd like to remind folks not to click ANY links that may appear in these posts, and that we cannot take responsibility for any maleware, trojans, worms or viruses you may recieve as a result.

With the site secruity blockers as comprehensive as I can make them I am currently looking into what, if anything, can be done about these posts that is short of removing the Guest Pass forum entirely.

Any tips from knowledgeable folks are always very welcome.

In the mean time, please be careful what you point your curser at.

It brings me great sadness to announce the adminstrative retirement of Spolli from Earthenring.EU.

For the last two years Spolli has nurtured, cared for, sunk meteorite loads of time (and money) into, cussed, hit and slapped this site into the Earthen Ring town square it is today. I am certain in my belief that it wouldn't be the same, perhaps even exist, without her dedication.

For that, I would like to thank her publically in addition to the numerous hugs she receives behind the scenes, and wish her a peaceful retirement (and emptier mail box!).

As she mentions here, she will remain on the boards, but I please ask you to direct Earthenring.EU enquires to myself, or Curio or Sebine Deadwood from this day forward and leave her to her peace, quiet and lurking.

I appologise now for any future crashing this site may suffer.
